Gastrointestinal Infections: Aeromonas species are known to cause gastroenteritis, which is inflammation of the stomach and intestines. This can lead to symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea, and vomiting.
Wound Infections: Aeromonas bacteria can cause skin and soft tissue infections, especially in individuals with open wounds or cuts that come into contact with contaminated water.
Septicemia: In severe cases, particularly in individuals with weakened immune systems, Aeromonas infections can lead to systemic illness, including septicemia (bloodstream infection).
Respiratory Infections: In rare instances, Aeromonas infections can affect the respiratory system, causing pneumonia or other respiratory tract infections.

Different labs use different software to read the sample. See this post for more details.
One lab may say you have none, another may say you have a lot! - This may be solely due to the software they are using to estimate.
We deem lab specific values using values from the KM method for each specific lab to be the most reliable.
